Pan-Homenetmen Online Sports Games: Announcement of Results
7-6-2-3-On January 29, 2022, at 5:00 pm (Beirut time), the Homenetmen Central Committee Sports Committee announced the results of the two-month online Homenetmen Sports Games. The announcement was made by Homenetmen regional sports officials during an online meeting.
For the first time in the history of Homenetmen and Armenian sports, these online sports games included four types of sports: Football, basketball, athletics and swimming. Ninety-five athletes from 10 regions participated in the competition: Lebanon, Syria, Greece, Canada, France, South America, Kuwait, Munich, Vesteros and Sodertalje.
Five age groups were considered for these online sports games: Above 18 years old, less than 20 years old, less than 18 years old, less than 16, and 14 years old.
The Organization of the Games and the Announcement of the Results
In each region games were organized physically by Homenetmen Regional or Megousi Committees. Specific rules set for online games and local Corona health restrictions were taken into consideration.
The sports representative sent out the results of the participation online via video to the sports representative of each region. The regions presented their three best results in each category and sport type.
Special timing rules were set for each sport event or type.
In SWIMMING, 50 and 100-meter freestyle competitions were taken into account. Athletics included 100, 200, 300, 400, 800, 1500, and 3,000 meters running, high jump, discus throw. FOOTBALL had five forms of competitions (instep kicking for long distance hits to the net or the goal, passing through barriers and hitting the goal, hitting the ball to the uprights of the net, etc.), as well as BASKETBALL (3-point stance from different corners, Dunk hitting, 3 players passing the ball, moving towards the basket, and shooting, etc.).
