ANNOUNCEMENT
The second weekend of November was fruitful for the big family of Homenetmen, whose representatives in the homeland celebrated the 106th anniversary of the organization, the 35th anniversary of Homenetmen-HASK, and, during the 11th Inter-steering Committees’ Conference, clarified the main priorities of Homenetmen's activities for the upcoming period.
The above-mentioned Pan-Homenetmen initiatives preceded the second plenary sessions of the 2023–2027 quadrennial Central (Executive) Committee Conference, held on November 13 and 14 in Yerevan. The sessions reviewed various aspects of the organization’s activities over the past year and emphasized the need to further energize inter-union initiatives and foster more frequent gatherings inspired by the success of the 1st European Continental Camp (Sweden), the 9th Scouts Masters Conference (Egypt), the 2nd Online Promotional conference, and the quarterly online meetings of regional chairmen, which were recognized as valuable experiences. The meeting positively assessed the consistent and active work of the Central (Executive) Committee’s seven sub-committees, including Scouting, Sport, Promotion, Economic, Marketing, the “Marzig” Official Newspaper, and Information Technology.

The plenary sessions paid special attention to the Homenetmen "Artsakh Fund" programs, which, in addition to providing immediate humanitarian aid during the past period, contributed to organizing summer educational camps for 850 children from Artsakh and expanding the activities for the Solitary Chapter of Homenetmen-Artsakh.
The revitalization and modernization of scouting and sports activities held a significant place on the agenda of the plenary sessions. The discussions also covered ongoing projects in various regions, the most notable being the construction of the Homenetmen-France sports complex in Paris, which is scheduled to open on April 5, 2025.
The second plenary session of the Central (Executive) Committee extensively discussed the necessity of establishing a comprehensive promotional system for the organization. This included enhancing the activities of the Promotional Committee, creating a new website and office, and developing promotional committees within the regions. It was also deemed appropriate to present the “Marzig” official newspaper online with multilingual content.
Finally, the plenary sessions emphasized the need to strengthen the financial capacity of Homenetmen’s Central (Executive) Committee and, in this regard, approved the Economic Committee’s proposal to organize a cruise in Europe during the summer of 2026.
The plenary sessions also set the dates for upcoming organization-wide events, including the 12th Pan-Homenetmen Games (July 2025, Yerevan), the American and Australian Continental Camps (July 2025, Los Angeles), the 13th Pan-Homenetmen Jamboree (summer 2026), and the Pan-Homenetmen Continental Games (summer 2027).
In addition to the plenary sessions, the Central (Executive) Committee held working sessions with the Executive committees of Homenetmen-HASK and Homenetmen-Artsakh, organized an inter-steering committee conference, and the Promotional Committee initiated a meeting with representatives from media outlets based in Armenia. The delegations that arrived in Yerevan participated in the 35th anniversary celebration of Homenetmen-HASK and a scouting ceremony, visited Yerablur Military Pantheon, Tsitsernakaberd, and St. Etchmiadzin, where they held memorial services for the deceased and martyred Homenetmen members.
The initiatives coinciding with Homenetmen’s 106th anniversary, taking place amid the challenging conditions in the homeland and the Middle East, once again demonstrated the vitality and determination of the Armenian nation’s ”Gamavor Panag” to move forward, overcoming all unfavorable conditions in its environment and all the challenges directed against our people.
