SECOND PAN-HOMENETMEN ONLINE PROMOTIONAL CONFERENCE WRAPS UP SUCCESSFULLY
On Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 7 PM, Beirut time, the second Pan-Homenetmen online promotional conference successfully concluded its activities after two weeks of consecutive sessions.
In the second session, as in the first, more than 50 PR personnel and social media administrators from Homenetmen’s regional and solitary chapters across 21 regions participated. Members of Homenetmen’s Central Board, along with yeghpayrner and kouyrer from the conference organizing committee, were also in attendance.
The session was initiated by kouyr Nayiri Azariguian (Syria), a member of the promotional committee, who welcomed the attendees and led the meeting. She then invited the representatives of the groups formed in the previous session to present their reports.
The prior week, after presenting the general guidelines of Homenetmen’s promotional strategy, three groups were created based on regional divisions: Middle East and Armenia-Artsakh, Europe, and the Americas and Australia. Each group was tasked with developing activities aligned with these general guidelines, while considering local specificities and focusing on four main goals:
a. How can Homenetmen increase its visibility and accessibility?
b. What steps can Homenetmen take to improve its digital presence and online engagement?
c. How can Homenetmen strengthen its collaboration with mass media to enhance its presence?
d. What can be done to reinforce connections among Homenetmen regions and expand the organization's regional, continental, and global outreach?
During the session, representatives of the three groups—yeghpayr Raffi Hadidian (Canada), yeghpayr Andre Dadaian (Paris), and kouyr Talar Bebedjian (Lebanon)—presented the outcomes of discussions held by the regional representatives from the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
Following these reports, kouyr Roubina Khayat-Yessayan, a member of the Central Administration's promotional committee, presented on “The Visual Identity of Homenetmen: Dos and Don’ts,” using insights from recently prepared reports by the representatives.
Next, kouyr Asdghig Ashekian (Canada), an active member of the promotional committee, gave a presentation focused on the practical and precise implementation of promotional activities. This included Homentmen’s communication and public relations roadmap, the promotional strategy for the 2023-2027 quadrennium, resolutions from the latest Homenetmen General Assembly related to promotional aspects, and the union’s calendar. She also announced the creation of two network platforms: one to connect the promotional committees across all Homenetmen regions worldwide, and another to provide linguistic support for regions facing challenges in writing in Armenian.
At the conclusion of the online conference, yeghpayr Vicken Avakian, the secretary of Homenetmen's Central Administration and liaison for the promotional committee, congratulated the committee members on their hard work and the success of the conference. He emphasized that this conference lays the foundations for establishing the organization's promotional system- a pyramid structure extending from the central promotional committee to all regions, and further to the promotional committees of each Homenetmen branch. This structure will ensure that all are working in alignment, with a shared awareness and commitment to one organization and a unified purpose.
In his speech, yeghpayr Avakian reiterated that the conference participants form the “promotional battalion of Homenetmen's volunteer army,” highlighting the significant role this “battalion” plays across 26 fronts in 26 regions. He noted their use of timely and relevant methods to preserve Armenian identity and to nurture a healthy, devoted youth for the Armenian people and homeland.
The conference concluded with a commitment to hold the first meeting of regional promotional officials in six months and to continue the planned activities.
