Armenian Scouting

Scouting is an integral part of Homenetmen’s organizational structure, and its members are known as Homenetmen Scouts.

Homenetmen scouting aims to:

  1. Prepare young Armenians with strong character and deep moral values, dedicated to serving their nation and contributing to the realization of the aspirations of the Armenian people.

  2. Train physically fit, resilient, and courageous individuals.

  3. Develop their intellectual capabilities, as well as their sense of duty, responsibility, and honor, alongside qualities like integrity and a spirit of service.

  4. Foster exemplary citizens by encouraging cooperation, amiability, and altruism.

Homenetmen achieves these goals by:

  • Organizing scout troops in Armenia and throughout the diaspora.

  • Organizing seminars, educational jamborees, hiking trips, training programs, and conferences to support the national, civic, social, and scouting education of its members, as well as to prepare skilled and capable scout leaders.

  • Promoting scouting and expanding its reach by:

  1. Organizing parent meetings, public events, and seminars.

  2. Publishing books and articles in the media.

  3. Undertaking special initiatives to introduce scouting to Armenian youth.
