THE THIRD ONLINE ASSEMBLY/MEETING OF THE CHAIRMEN OF THE REGIONAL AND SOLITARY CHAPTERS OF HOMENETMEN
On the evening of Saturday, October 26, 2024, the Central Board of Homenetmen held its third online meeting with the chairpersons of its 16 Regional and Solitary Chapters.
The meeting was initiated by the chairperson of the Central Committee of Homenetmen, Yeghpayr Hagop Khatcherian.
He began with a brief overview of the current situation in Lebanon and then invited the Central Committee members - including yeghpayr Vicken Avakian, yeghpayr Mher Tavitian, yeghpayr Vicken Apelian, and kouyr Sandra Vartanian — to provide summary reports on the second online promotional conference, the Homenetmen maritime expedition (July 13-20, 2026), recent fundraising activities, and the summer camps organized by Homenetmen for the children of Artsakh.
In the second part of the meeting, the available chairpersons provided an overview of the situation in their regions through a PowerPoint presentation covering the period from the last Representative General Assembly (October 2023) to the present. They specifically highlighted their achievements, initiatives in support of Artsakh, and the work accomplished in scouting, sports, promotional activities, and youth engagement within the province, as well as the main challenges they faced.
After a comprehensive four-hour meeting, the participants concluded their discussions with a commitment to reconvene in Yerevan for the inter-council XI conference scheduled for November 15-17, where they would thoroughly address the issues raised during the meeting.
